Description

This test analyzes samples obtained from nasal swabs to identify pathogenic microorganisms. It’s commonly used to diagnose upper respiratory tract infections, including sinusitis and nasal colonization with potentially harmful bacteria. The culture allows for the growth and identification of bacteria present in the nasal passages. Sensitivity testing determines which antibiotics will be most effective against the identified pathogens.
