Description
CT CHEST PLAIN is a non-contrast computed tomography scan of the chest area. It provides highly detailed cross-sectional images of the lungs, heart, blood vessels, and surrounding structures within the chest cavity. This scan is particularly useful for diagnosing various chest conditions such as lung diseases, tumors, pneumonia, and pulmonary embolisms. It can also detect enlarged lymph nodes, pleural effusions, and some cardiac abnormalities. The scan is often used in initial evaluations and follow-ups for chest-related symptoms or conditions.
