Description
CT Angio Neck & Brain /DSA is a comprehensive vascular imaging study that examines the blood vessels of both the neck (cervical) and brain (cerebral) regions. This technique combines CT angiography with Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) to provide highly detailed images of the arterial and venous structures. The CT angiography component offers excellent spatial resolution and 3D reconstruction capabilities, while DSA provides superior contrast resolution for small vessels. This combined approach is particularly valuable in evaluating conditions that may affect both the neck and brain vasculature, such as atherosclerosis, dissections, and vascular malformations. It’s extensively used in stroke assessment, planning for neurovascular interventions, and follow-up of treated vascular abnormalities. The study allows for a thorough evaluation of blood flow from the aortic arch through the neck and into the intracranial circulation, providing crucial information for diagnosis and treatment planning.
