Description
Couple Karyotyping is a chromosomal analysis performed on both partners in a couple. This test examines the structure and number of chromosomes in each individual’s cells. It’s particularly useful in detecting chromosomal abnormalities that might lead to recurrent miscarriages, fertility problems, or the birth of a child with genetic disorders. The test can identify issues such as translocations, inversions, or other chromosomal rearrangements that may not be apparent through other genetic tests. Results from karyotyping can guide genetic counseling and inform decisions about assisted reproductive technologies or prenatal testing.
