Description
MRI PNS (Paranasal Sinuses) is a specialized imaging technique that provides detailed pictures of the air-filled spaces surrounding the nasal cavity. It uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to create high-resolution cross-sectional images of the sinuses and nearby structures. This non-invasive procedure is excellent for evaluating conditions such as sinusitis, polyps, tumors, and congenital abnormalities affecting the sinuses. It’s particularly useful for assessing the extent of sinus disease and planning surgical interventions. The scan typically takes 30-45 minutes and doesn’t use radiation, making it safe for repeated use in monitoring chronic conditions.
