Description
CT Virtual Colonoscopy, also known as CT Colonography, is a non-invasive screening method for colorectal cancer. It uses advanced CT technology to create detailed 3D images of the colon and rectum. This procedure can detect polyps and other abnormalities without the need for sedation or insertion of a colonoscope. It’s particularly useful for patients who cannot undergo traditional colonoscopy or as an alternative screening method. However, if abnormalities are found, a traditional colonoscopy may still be needed for biopsy or removal of polyps.
